100 Black Men DC Saturday Leadership Academy 2016

Saturday Leadership Academy Closing Ceremony

The 100 Black Men of Greater Washington DC held its annual closing ceremony to celebrate the young men who participated in our mentoring program held at the Kennedy Recreation Center in the Shaw neighborhood of Washington DC. Over 20 mentees presented their goals and the means by which they would achieve them. All three of our seniors will be attending an accredited university in the fall. The event was sponsored by the CIA.



USA Science & Engineering Festival

The STEM committee invited students from the Saturday Leadership Academy and Saturday STEM Academy from National Collegiate Prep High School to participate  in the biannual USA Science & Engineering Festival held at the Washington Convention Center from April 14th through the 17th. The 100 black Men of Greater Washington DC participated in the science festival as a exhibitor showcasing their STEM the 100 way initiative. Students conducted a forensic science and RC car design demonstration.

Ivory Johnson of 100 Black Men DC

100 Black Men of DC Installs New President – Ivory Johnson

On January 21, 2015, 100 Black Men of Greater Washington D.C.(“the 100”) installed Ivory Johnson as its eighth President. Mr. Johnson is the Founder of Delancey Wealth Management, LLC located in the District. He joined the 100 in 2013 and has over 10 years of community service experience with the organization and his fraternity Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. Mr. Johnson succeeded Eric Evans as the Chapter President.


During his years as a member, Mr. Johnson has served as Treasurer. Ivory has also been an active participant in several of the 100’s programs, serving as a mentor to students in the 100’s signature Saturday Leadership Academy and conducting financial literacy sessions at Wilson High School for the Dollars and Sense initiative.
